Do you know number 4 is a unlucky number in some cultures? Well, it is mostly in asian countries which know a lot about.
Now that you've learnt a bit about these amazing young ladies i shall introduce myself
I am the last addition to the group and as i already told you I know a lot about asian cultures mostly China, Japan and South Korea where I've had the pleasure to live in.
I came to a new school on november of last year, it was a crappy day one of those days where you ask yourself why the hell you have to go outside specially early in the morning when the sun hasn't even come up but for some illogical reason you have to wake up !
Anyway, not only was the weather crappy, my hair a mess, my first day but I was late...
You know how when you're watching a movie and the new girl comes in late awkwardly with a teacher saying "welcome you're new classmate, her name is..." in front of everyone with whom you're going to spend the rest of the year? Well, I was that new girl...
But let's start from the beginning!
Where does she come from? Who is she?
Well, before arriving here in my beloved country I used to South Korea and before that Japan and before blablabla...
Honestly, if you ask me where I'm from it would be really hard for me to answer that question since I feel like I am citizen of the world!
In Japan and South Korea I learnt to appreciate people who have nothing to do with me, who are completely different, who have a culture as different from mine as it can get and mostly to respect others.
Everything I'm telling you know sounds pretty cliche but I'm not going to tell you things like how much rice do they eat in a day, how many chinese are born in a year... I am on the other hand going to tell you the way they behave, their way of living or the culture of these two places in the world.
Japan, for personal reasons was the best period of my life.
In 4 years, I got the experience of a lifetime and I had the chance to really get to know japanese people.
At first it's hard to understand them, they're so respectful, so quiet, they keep to themselves mostly and they would give you directions if you ask them and accompany you even if they have absolutely no idea where the place is!
You would think that's stupid, so did I... coming from Spain where people are so warm, so sociable yet not so polite all the time, and where everyone talks it's definitely a cultural shock.
Despite all, I was able to learn from them and make the most of those 4 years.
South Korea was good too, but I must admit, I missed Tokyo.
Koreans are not so clean, not so polite and not so respectful anyway but they were fun!
I absolutely did not learn any Korean other than giving directions to the taxi driver since I only stayed there a year, but despite it all whenever I go back it feels like home.
Home is Madrid now and somehow these folks have helped during the process so the only thing left to say to them is...
THANKS
N.
